First edition. Text in French. Bound in contempoary half calf with marbled paper-covered boards. At some point the boards were crudely re-papered, leaving the binding in a sound, albeit inelegant, state. The boards are thus solidly attached, despite wear to the joints. The calf is mottled, the spine rubbed and worn at the ends. The corners are bumped and worn, with the calf at the corners faded. A previous owner's name is in 2 places, and a bookplate is affixed to the front paste down. Minor contemporary marginalia at the begining of the vocabulary section. Lightly foxed. Open foremarginal tear to pp.5-6, not affecting text. Fair. beh/BH3
