First edition: volumes 1-3 only. Bound in uniform later half morocco, pebbled cloth over boards; spines with raised bands, ruled in black, lettered in gilt. All edges marbled, marbled endpapers. Numerous chromolithographs, engravings, maps (some folding), and one folding panorama with hand coloring.
Cloth on all three volumes with insect damage. Occasional foxing and offsetting, else internally clean. Good condition.
