Chicago Electrician Publishing Co. 1894. Sm 12mo (4 X 6 ) 6 146p. xv (ads.) blindstamped blue-gray cloth with gilt cover title. Written 18 years after the telephone's invention the author stated this to be The first practical book on American telephone methods . Nicely illustrated and and within its limits reasonably comprehensive. This copy signed & inscribed to the AIEE (of which Webb was a member) and formerly housed in the famous Eng. Scocieties' Library in New York with their bookplate. Covers somewhat soiled and mildly worn with spine faded under call number & title handwritten. Inner hinges tender o/w internally quite clean and still sound. A very good copy.
