Authors include Gauss (quite a bit), Bessel, Ohm, W. Weber, Liebig, Becquerel, etc. Plates & other illustrations are included as appropriate, particularly in volume 2. A most interesting and well-chosen overview of the kind of scientific work taking place at the time (and not requiring several languages to read it). Minor general wear to covers- more obvious bumping to corners. Volume 2 distorted a bit at foredge because of many folding plates. Plates appear to be all present and in good condition.
