Claims to be 1st published work on its subject. Remarkably cogent both in theoretical & practical matters- addresses issues of text legibility, color, perspective, etc. still plaguing designers today. Quite outspoken and very entertaining.
A well-worn veteran- covers worn, stained, even scrubbed (unwise dealer?). Two owners' names & marginal dampstains on foredge, not affecting text or illustrations. For all that, still quite sound & worth reading. A good copy.
