Notes: Small 4to, 116 199p, black cloth with red paper label on spine and marbled endpapers. The two parts were originally issued with red paper covers and calligraphic lettering, the front covers of which have been bound in. These were typed textbooks for a course covering the whole of French artillery- mobile, emplaced, horsedrawn, railroad, etc. from its beginnings through WW I. Typewritten and extremely well illustrated with very detailed drawings of the guns, ammunition, carriages, etc. involved. Written by the head of the military school. Excellent overall condition, marred only by quite extensive pencilled underlining in part 2 (very erasable if you have time)- VG
