"Illustrated by 67 woodcuts & numerous tables & examples" and intended as a companion work to Bourne's Catechism of the Steam Engine. Bourne took a very broad look at his subject and this will be of interest to students of steam shipping & shipbuilding as well as mechanics. While this title was still being sold in the 1890s, this was its first appearance.
Moderate overall wear to covers. Owner's bookplate, acouple of small marginal foxing-like stains, else quite clean internally and alltogether sound. A very good copy.
