Distinguished particularly by fine illustrations- in addition to the plates includes also 76 images in the text with a number of particularly fine engravings of microscopes and photomicrographic apparatus. A distinguished offering at a very reasonable price. About 1/2 dozen internal university dept. ownership stamps but none on tp no spine label pocket or other evidence of library ownership. Spine somewhat darkened and spotted & gilt title dulled but still readable. A very good copy.
