Formerly the property of Francis Arthur Bather, 1863-1934 (DSB, vol. 1), distinguished paleontologist and museum curator with his name, address and the date 1897 facing the half-title.
Moderate wear to covers, spine darkened & partly reattached, corners bumped, hinges weak. Internally, a marginal stain on center foredge not affecting text or plates, else clean and unfoxed. A good copy.
