Wright (1895- c. 1970) is chiefly remembered today through his association as an aeronautical engineer with the Curtiss Aeroplane & Motor Co. (later, Curtiss-Wright) and for designing several airplanes between the wars. The first two volumes deal primarily with this and represent a significant contribution to this history of aircraft in this country. Extensive inscription & signature in vol. 1.
A little scuffing & shelfwear to slipcase, one damaged leaf in vol. 1 (not affecting readability). Very good copy.
