2 volumes. Octavo, 158x227mm. xvii,[i],457pp; x,[ii],489pp. First edition. Although both volumes appear to be in their original red cloth, with spines uniformly stamped in gilt and boards uniformly stamped in blind, the cloth texture is not identical: likely a married set.
Boards stained and rubbed, corners bumped and worn. Spines rubbed and faded, with particular wear to the spine ends. Hinges starting. Evidence of bookplate removal on the front paste down of volume 1. Small bookseller's ticket on the front paste down of volume 2. Occasional foxing. Good condition. beh
