First edition, inscribed and signed by the author on the front free endpaper. The author's first book. Original black cloth, spine gilt. In an unclipped dust jacket.
Cloth lightly rubbed. Corners bumped; light wear to the corners and spine ends. Area of rubbing and fading at the foot of the spine, corresponding to a chip in the dust jacket. The jacket itself is rubbed, soiled, and edgeworn, with several chips and tears. Good/Fair.
