Heavy foxing to endpapers. Ink blot to bottom margin on pages 277 to 287. Moderate foxing to fold-out map. 3" tear to map has been tape repaired by previous owner. Map is considerably wrinkled and extends past text fore-edge when folded. Good condition. NOTE: "The work [...] has been carefully revised by the American editor, and considerably abridged...."
