Second edition. Bound in 20th century quarter calf, brown paper over boards. Spine with 5 raised bands and a morocco label; ruled and lettered in gilt. All edges marbled. New endpapers. Folding frontispiece and a folding map; with 8 engraved plates not found in the first edition of 1788.
Corners, joints and spine ends a bit worn. Boards lightly rubbed. Name in ink to a blank prelim. Occasional light foxing. Plates and maps intact. Very good condition.
