Folio, 290x360mm. Limited edition, number 55 of 212 copies, additionally inscribed and signed by Ben Shahn on the front paste down. Original black cloth portfolio with ribbon ties, front board decorated and lettered in gilt; containing a string-bound pamphlet, octavo, with De Quincey's text and the limitation statement; also containing 10 loose sepia-toned lithographic plates by Ben Shahn.
Corners and spine ends a bit worn. Light soiling to the rear of the pamphlet. Lacking all but two of the tissue guards, and one plate shows light marginal foxing, not affecting the image. Very good condition. ENR/beh [Case West 2]
